At Wake Toronto, we share our passion for water-sports and the vibrant city of Toronto to create a remarkable experience. Our goal is to introduce everyone – from 6 year old children to 65 year old who have ever dreamed of giving wake boarding or wake surfing a try to get out and experience water sports in a safe and friendly environment with our team of experienced coaches
We are a group of trained professionals who are all certified through water ski and wakeboard Ontario with first aid and CPR training, for us this is a way of life not just a hobby With our team and our unique style of coaching you can be sure that your time spent on these waters will never be forgotten.
In wakesurfing, a rider trails behind a boat at around 15 kmh riding the boat's wake without being directly pulled by the boat. After getting up on the wake, typically by use of a tow rope, the wakesurfers will drop the rope, and ride the steep face below the wave's peak in a fashion reminiscent of surfing. Wakesurfers generally use special boards, designed specifically for wakes.
Wakeboarding is a water sport in which the rider, standing on a wakeboard (a board with foot bindings), is towed behind a motorboat across its wake and especially up off the crest in order to perform aerial maneuvers. A trademark of wakeboarding is performance of midair tricks. It was developed from a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques.
